First of all, I must apologize sincerely for the inconvenience this issue brought to you. I know this must have caused you a lot of trouble.
The thing is, this app was acquired by another company in April 2014, and they did a poor update later that caused the app crashes. And since I’m no longer in possession of this app, I can’t upload a new version of the app to fix this issue. (And in case you haven’t noticed, this app has been removed from the App Store, while the reason is unknown to me)
Fortunately, I do have another app – “UltimaPass Pro” – in the app store, that has the same data structure as “Password Manager”. You could export all your data from the original app, and import it into this new app.
Export the data from the original app
To export the data, you need a tool called iFunBox, you could get it here. By using iFunBox, you can access your files in your iPhone via Mac or PC.
After open iFunBox, connect your iPhone to the Mac/PC, and copy the file: Password Manager –> Documents –> PasswordSafePro.sqlite to your computer.
Download UltimaPass Pro
Please download the new app UltimaPass Pro here.
This app has no ad, no password count limitation, and no in app purchase. Previously, this app was sold at $10, but I have just changed the price to free today. So that all the old users of the “Password Manager” can fix this issue easily.
Since the price change has some latency in the App Store, if you saw that the price is still $10, please wait for some hours. Sometimes it takes up to a day to update a price change.
Restore the data via Wifi
To restore the data into this new app, open the restore from Wifi interface in this new app: Settings –> Wifi.
Then, open a browser in your Mac/PC, enter the address as indicated by the app.
Finally, clike the “Choose File” button to select the previously exported “PasswordSafePro.sqlite”, click the “Restore” button, and tap the “Yes, replace” button on your iPhone.
Please leave comment below if you have encounterd any problems during the process. I’ll try my best to help you solve it.
